The Big Picture: From Creation to Christ's Return
C4
1. The Beginning: Creation and Purpose
The Bible begins with Genesis 1:1, declaring, "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth." God made the universe, the earth, and all life, including humanity, in His image (Genesis 1:27). Humans were created to worship God, have a relationship with Him, and rule over creation (Genesis 1:28).
2. The Fall: Sin Enters the World
God placed Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, giving them the freedom to obey Him. However, Satan, in the form of a serpent, deceived them, and they sinned by disobeying God (Genesis 3). This act of rebellion brought sin, suffering, and death into the world (Romans 5:12). Humanity became separated from God, and the world fell under Satan’s influence (2 Corinthians 4:4).
3. God's Promise of Redemption
Despite the fall, God promised a Savior who would crush Satan's power (Genesis 3:15). Throughout history, God chose people like Noah, Abraham, Moses, and David to prepare the way for the Messiah. The Old Testament is filled with prophecies about the coming of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
4. The First Coming of Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ, born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23), lived a sinless life and performed miracles, proving He was the promised Messiah. He died on the cross to pay for the sins of humanity (Isaiah 53:5, John 3:16). After three days, He rose from the dead, conquering sin and death (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). He ascended into heaven, promising to return (Acts 1:9-11).
5. The Church Age: Spreading the Gospel
Before returning, Jesus commissioned His followers to spread the Gospel to all nations (Matthew 28:19-20). This period, called the Church Age, is when believers share the message of salvation through Christ. Meanwhile, Satan continues to deceive and prepare the world for his final rebellion (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4).
6. Signs of the End Times
The Bible warns of a time of increasing moral decline, deception, wars, natural disasters, and global control (Matthew 24, 2 Timothy 3:1-5). Satan, through the Antichrist, will attempt to establish a one-world government and religious system (Revelation 13). Digital finance and surveillance technology are paving the way for the Mark of the Beast, which will control buying and selling (Revelation 13:16-17).
7. The Second Coming of Jesus Christ
At the height of evil, Jesus will return in power and glory to defeat the Antichrist and establish His kingdom (Revelation 19:11-16). Satan will be bound for 1,000 years, and Christ will reign on Earth in righteousness (Revelation 20:1-6). After this, the final judgment will occur, and a new heaven and new earth will be created (Revelation 21:1-4).
8. Eternity: The Final Destination
Everyone will spend eternity in one of two places: With God in the New Jerusalem (Revelation 21:2-4). Separated from God in the lake of fire (Revelation 20:15). Conclusion: The Call to Be Ready The entire Bible is the story of God’s plan to redeem humanity and restore creation through Jesus Christ. We are living in the final stages before His return. The question is: Are you ready? Jesus invites all to repent, believe, and follow Him (John 14:6). Now is the time to choose Him before it’s too late.
