how to be Saved?
B40
The Bible explains how to be saved through faith in Jesus Christ, emphasizing repentance, belief, and following God's commands. Here’s a step-by-step explanation of salvation according to the Bible:
Acknowledge Sin:
The Bible teaches that all humans have sinned and fall short of God's glory. Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
Recognize the Consequences of Sin:
Romans 6:23 explains the consequence of sin, stating, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Repent:
Repentance means turning away from sin and seeking forgiveness from God. Jesus Himself said in Luke 13:3, "Unless you repent, you too will all perish."
Believe in Jesus Christ:
Salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who died for humanity's sins and was raised from the dead. John 3:16 states, "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."
Confess Jesus as Lord:
Romans 10:9-10 explains that confession of faith is key to salvation: "If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."
Receive God’s Grace:
Ephesians 2:8-9 emphasizes that salvation is a gift from God and not something earned: "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast."
Be Baptized:
Baptism is an outward sign of the inward change of salvation. Acts 2:38 says, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."
Follow Christ:
Salvation isn’t a one-time event but a life-long journey of following Jesus and growing in faith. Jesus said in John 14:15, "If you love me, keep my commands."
Salvation is ultimately about faith in Jesus Christ, repentance from sin, receiving God’s grace, and living in obedience to His word.
