The Tribulation

A2

If you have not read the Bible, you may not know what the tribulation is. The Bible mentions it is a period of destruction like the world has never experiences. God will pour out his wrath on the earth through seven seals, trumpets, and bowls depicted in the book of Revelation. This represent the final judgments of God that are poured out on an unbelieving world in the end times. More info on the judgements here

There is no exact wording mentioning a seven year tribulation in the Bible. This is Interpreted from Daniel chapter 9 in the Bible, through this was determined a seven year event. It is believed that the last 3 1/2 years of the tribulation is when the anti-christ figure will appear and set up his Mark Of The Beasts system and God will pour out his wrath upon the earth. Then the rapture will occur if you believe in the post-tribulation view instead of the pre-tribulation view.

The above video is on the seven year view. The videos below are for a partial fulfillment of The Book Of Revelation by Doug Batchelor and more views on the tribulation events.

The events that happen in the tribulation are mentioned in the last book of the Bible called The Book Of Revelations, It is also believed by some that all of the Book Of Revelation has been already fulfilled, which to me makes no sense at all. There are some who also believe it was partly fulfilled and there is one part left. The one part left would be the last and final tribulation to come. I will have videos below you can view and decide on your own. I don't want to confuse you but you need to hear both views. I can tell you not all of it has been fulfilled, there is more to come soon.

Understanding the Tribulation in End Times Prophecy

The Bible describes a future era called the Tribulation — a decisive period when God brings final judgment on the forces of evil, restrains Satan, and prepares the world for Christ’s reign. Though Christians interpret the timeline differently, one common dispensational outline presents a sequence: the rapture of the church, a seven-year Tribulation, the Battle of Armageddon, Satan’s confinement, Christ’s thousand-year reign, Satan’s final revolt and defeat, and the creation of a new heaven and a new earth.

The Seven-Year Tribulation and the Antichrist

In this understanding, the Tribulation follows the rapture and lasts seven years. A dominant world leader — often called the Antichrist — rises with authority granted by satanic influence. The prophet Daniel spoke of seventy “weeks” (each week representing seven years) set aside for Israel’s prophetic timeline (Daniel 9:24–27). After sixty-nine weeks the Messiah appears and is “cut off,” which Christians associate with Jesus. The final week symbolizes the Tribulation, a period Daniel anticipated but could not fully explain.

The Great Tribulation — The Last 3½ Years

Jesus referred to the latter half of this period as the “great tribulation,” a time of extreme persecution and worldwide turmoil (Matthew 24:21). Scripture indicates this segment lasts about forty-two months, or three and a half years (Revelation 13:5). It begins with a peace agreement the Antichrist secures with Israel and neighboring nations. Midway through, after appearing to be mortally wounded and then recovering, the Antichrist openly rebels — desecrating sacred places, persecuting believers, and enforcing his oppressive rule.

Signs, Judgments, and Armageddon

Revelation depicts sweeping judgments on the unbelieving world — plagues, natural upheavals, and the pouring out of the seven bowls of God’s wrath (Revelation 13–19). One notable prophetic sign is the drying up of the Euphrates River, which allows eastern armies to advance toward Israel. These forces gather at Megiddo for the final confrontation known as Armageddon, where Christ returns in power, defeats the Antichrist and his false prophet, and ushers in Satan’s imprisonment for a thousand years (Revelation 19–20).

Purpose and Final Outcome

The Tribulation will be a season of intense testing, deception, and divine judgment — a time most would wish to avoid. Yet it serves an overarching purpose: to bring justice, to reveal hearts, and to lead some to repentance, especially within Israel. Ultimately it culminates in Christ’s victory, the establishment of His righteous reign, and the restoration of all creation into a renewed heaven and earth.
